About the role

As a Door Supervisor at Upload Ltd, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment within licensed premises, including pubs, bars, nightclubs and entertainment venues.

You will be responsible for managing entry and exit points, monitoring customer behaviour, preventing disorder and responding professionally to incidents while ensuring customers, staff and visitors can enjoy a safe and positive experience.

Working as part of our professional security team, you will represent Upload Ltd and our clients, maintaining high standards of professionalism, customer service, safety and security at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, check identification and verify age requirements in accordance with venue policies and licensing conditions.
• Customer Safety: Maintain a safe environment for customers, venue staff and visitors.
• Conflict Management: Identify potential disputes, use effective communication and de-escalation techniques, and respond professionally to challenging situations.
• Crowd Management: Monitor venue capacity, manage queues and prevent overcrowding.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to disturbances, emergencies, aggressive behaviour and other security incidents.
• Licensing Compliance: Support venue management in maintaining compliance with licensing conditions, including the prevention of underage entry and disorder.
• Search Procedures: Conduct appropriate and lawful searches in accordance with venue policies, training and customer consent.
• Welfare & Safeguarding: Identify vulnerable or intoxicated individuals, provide appropriate assistance and report safeguarding concerns.
• Emergency Procedures: Assist with evacuations, fire safety procedures and other emergency responses.
• Team Communication: Maintain effective communication with venue management, colleagues, supervisors, CCTV operators and emergency services where required.
• Incident Reporting: Complete accurate incident reports, occurrence logs and relevant security documentation.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain a smart appearance, demonstrate excellent customer service and uphold Upload Ltd's professional standards.

Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate:

• A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills.
• A professional, confident and approachable attitude.
• The ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions under pressure.
• Reliability, punctuality and excellent teamwork.
• A willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• An understanding of customer safety, safeguarding and licensed premises procedures.
• Previous experience working within pubs, bars or nightclubs is desirable but not essential.
