About the role

As an Event SIA Steward at Upload Ltd, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment at a wide range of events, including music festivals, concerts, sporting events, community celebrations and private functions.

You will be responsible for supporting event safety, managing crowds, monitoring access points and providing excellent customer service while ensuring that all visitors, staff and contractors can enjoy a safe event experience.

Working as part of our professional event security team, you will represent Upload Ltd and uphold our high standards of professionalism, safety and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Crowd Management: Monitor crowd movements, manage queues and help prevent overcrowding.
• Access Control: Check tickets, passes and accreditation to prevent unauthorised entry.
• Safety & Security: Identify potential hazards, suspicious behaviour and security concerns.
• Incident Response: Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies and disturbances.
• Customer Service: Assist visitors with directions, information and general enquiries.
• Emergency Procedures: Support evacuations and follow event emergency plans.
• Team Communication: Maintain effective communication with supervisors, event control and other security personnel.
• Reporting: Accurately report incidents, hazards and concerns in accordance with company procedures.

Requirements

Applicants should have a valid SIA licence appropriate to the duties assigned, good communication skills, a professional attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Previous event security experience is desirable, although additional training and support may be provided.

Important: SIA licensing requirements depend on the actual duties performed. General event stewarding does not automatically require an SIA licence, whereas designated licensable security duties do.
