About the role

As an Event Steward at Upload Ltd, you will play an essential role in ensuring events run safely, smoothly and successfully while providing a welcoming and positive experience for all attendees.

You will be responsible for assisting visitors, supporting crowd management, monitoring designated event areas and helping maintain a safe and organised environment.

Our Event Stewards work across a variety of events, including music festivals, concerts, sporting events, community celebrations, corporate functions and private events.

Working as part of our professional event team, you will represent Upload Ltd and demonstrate our commitment to safety, teamwork, professionalism and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Welcome attendees, provide information, answer enquiries and assist visitors throughout the event.
• Crowd Management: Monitor crowd movements, assist with queues and help maintain safe pedestrian routes.
• Ticket Checking: Check tickets, wristbands and passes where required, referring access concerns to supervisors or security personnel.
• Health & Safety: Identify potential hazards, report safety concerns and help maintain safe event areas.
• Emergency Procedures: Assist with evacuations, guide attendees to designated assembly points and follow emergency instructions.
• Event Support: Assist with event entry and exit procedures, directional guidance and general event operations.
• Accessibility Support: Assist visitors with additional accessibility requirements and help ensure an inclusive event experience.
• Communication: Work closely with supervisors, event management, security teams and emergency services where appropriate.
• Incident Reporting: Report incidents, accidents, hazards and concerns promptly through the correct channels.

• The ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• The ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Previous event stewarding experience is desirable but not essential.

SIA Licence: An SIA licence is not normally required for general event stewarding duties. Event Stewards must not undertake licensable security activities unless appropriately licensed and authorised.
